Trajectories of Genomic Innovations in French Care Settings
Genomic technologies are massively present in health care contexts, where their use has become routine. TraGenInnov questions the transversal effects of this development of a molecular level of analysis common to many pathologies. Our multidisciplinary team will investigate the conditions in which these technologies come to be considered as innovations for care. To do so, we reconstruct the trajectories of genetic innovations in six clinical contexts from rare diseases, cardiovascular diseases and cancer. We base our enquiry on qualitative methods rooted in sociology and anthropology of science and health, completed by a quantitative processing of data from the National Health Data System (SNDS) following a health economics approach.
